Good Gravy

Hello wild ones! Well I messed up kids, messed up bad. I didn’t post on Friday and I didn’t realize it until last night! My internal clock is all sorts of screwed up.

In my defense, Friday was a crazy night. My sister and I had plans to pick up a captains bed we were buying for our brother, those plans morphed into an impromptu shopping trip with said brother at Target. My sister and I should not be allowed in Target together, we spent waaaay too much time there and waaaaaaaaaay too much money.

The trip took a turn when we headed to dinner only to realize that Dani had lost her wallet. We spent an hour searching for it, cursing humanity because why do people have to be so freaking shitty? After an hour, some tears, mounting frustration and a few phone calls the search was called off and we headed to comfort ourselves with some delicious food. Apparently the universe heard our call and decided to show us that not all humans are garbage, a woman had found her wallet and contacted her through Facebook! She was even nice enough to bring it to where we were. How great is that?! So while the night had taken a turn for the worse it ended on a good note…except for the fact that in all the drama I forgot to post on my blog.

Ugh, anyway, so I suck, the world doesn’t suck that bad, but I do. Okay, so then the weekend rolled through and screwed me up further. I didn’t even get my planner layout finished for this week. I feel like I didn’t get anything done this weekend at all. My mom has kind of unofficially already moved in, so we spent the weekend cleaning. She cleaned during the day while I slept and I cleaned and organized (because organization is not her strong suit) over night. The only thing I have to show for this weekend is that my garage is significantly cleaner than it was before. I started reorganizing and cleaning out my craft stash Saturday night, which is how we got started on the cleaning kick. My craft stash was looking good yesterday, but then mom started stacking stuff on my little stations that still need to be organized, so there is still more to do. It’s like the never ending mess.

I’m going to work on my planner layout as soon as I get this posted, so I should still have pictures up on Instagram before midnight, but as of right now I don’t have planner photos to show you. Sorry. Again, I suck.

As far as goals go…bleh, I’m just gonna try to suck less. I want to get my kitchen cleaned up and organized. I need to get my laundry table project done. My bedroom needs some some work, but all of that is gonna kind of take the back burner because my little baby is moving this weekend!!!!

My brother is moving on Friday, so I’ve got to help him get all packed up this week. Friday I’ll be helping him move into his new place, though of course I had to talk him into letting me because he thought maybe a 20 year old dude moving in with his sister’s help would be lame. I nearly cried. After a little pouting, some heavy guilt, and a few stray tears he relented that I could help. I’m not 100% sure I’m gonna make it through the entire thing without breaking down into an emotional mess.

Because I’ll be up in San Marcos helping him move I’ve made plans to have dinner with Brittny, so that should be fun. Hopefully that little nugget of info will keep me from becoming a huge mess…probably not, but a girl can hope.

Alright kids, I’m gonna get to work on my planner because there are a few other things I wanna get done tonight.

Make sure you’re following me on Instagram, so you can see the planner pictures once they’re done. Check out my Goodreads profile to see what I’m reading this week. Also, if you’ve got snapchat find me @crazydame90 to check out my crazy antics.

Night!

Until later, stay wonderfully wild!

Hodge Podge

Hello wild ones! Woah, this week kind flew by. Tonight is my last night at work, so I am ready to blow out of this place and enjoy my days off.

Not a ton going on this weekend. I need to get my garage cleaned, deep clean the house, try not to spend all my damn time reading, and come up with a way to create a goal section in my planner.

I went to Wal-Mart before work today. I only went in to grab something for lunch and ended up taking a detour down the stationary aisle…big mistake. They had some new file folders that I fell in love with, so tonight while work is trudging on I’m making stuff for my planner once again.

Feel kind silly for remaking all this stuff I literally just finished a few weeks ago, but maybe this is one way to keep me actually using the planner.

Here are the really cute file folders that I just could not pass up. They came in a pack of 6, for like $1.50, so I guess I told myself that was a bargain and grabbed 1 pack of each.

Following some tutorials I found on YouTube forever ago I turned those pretty little folders into a new front & back cover, as well as a dashboard (for my sticky notes), a double sided folder, and an envelope to store important size guide lines for this planner.

If you’re looking for cool, affordable ideas to take your planner game up a notch go check out Coupons to provide, she’s amazing. I’ve been watching her planner videos and creating my own playlist for the things I want to try.

Okay, enough about the boring planner stuff. I just realized that I still haven’t really told you about my elephant adventure, which is strange because I’ve been gushing about it to any idiot who would listen since I got home.

I learned so freaking much and I’m one of those people who likes to spread the knowledge, so I’ve been spouting every single elephant fact they gave. Seriously, my family probably wants to punch me in the face.

We left Dallas before the sun rose and drove 2.5 hours further across Texas to get to Hugo, Ok and the Endangered Ark Foundation. Nearly hit a deer and totaled my new car, not even exaggerating, scared the crap out of me. Met a baby elephant, look how cute she is!!!

Got up close and personal with 2 other beautiful ladies, who were only interested in me because I had a banana in my hand and got soaking wet. In the middle of our introduction to the elephant spa it started spitting rain, that light spit turned into a full on downpour while they tried to shuffle us back to the feeding zone.

Before the tour started…while we were still dry.

Even though we got really wet and a little cold it was an amazing experience. And the people who run the tours felt so bad about ours getting cut short due to the bad weather that they offered us a rain check, so I get to go back for FREE! Which I am beyond excited about. We’ve got tentative plans to return in October and I think I’m going to try and convince LB to take us to the wildlife rescue she visited last year. The bitch got to hold a fucking bear cub! Hello!! Sign me up for that shit.

Right, well I think that’s about all I’ve got for today. I’ll be posting pictures of the mess that is my garage this weekend on Instagram, so make sure you’re following me there. Check me out on Goodreads to see what I’m reading and have a great weekend!!

Night kids!

Until next time, stay wonderfully wild!

Nap Time

Hello wild ones! I’m being a little lazy right now. I woke up much earlier than I intended, so I’m gonna take a wee nap here in a bit.

Last night I started working on my room and bathroom. Sweet Jesus, it took me about 4 hours, 2 bags of trash, and a stubbed toe to get through the majority of the work. I still need to clean under my bed, sweep, mop, and clean my bathtub. I’ll get that all wrapped up after my little snooze and then move to the living room.

I got my grocery shopping done earlier and while unpacking everything I took the time to clean my fridge. Ugh, not my favorite thing in the world to do, but it looks so much better now.

Depending on whether or not I get the house all finished I may not get the garage completely cleaned out. I’m determined to at least start it tomorrow night while my soups are cooking for the week. I’ll take pictures, you won’t want to miss witnessing the disaster.

Alright, I’m going to go tuck myself in for a nap. Night!

Until tomorrow, stay wonderfully wild!

Dishes

Hello wild ones! Alright, still no concrete plans as far as the blog schedule goes. Bleh, still brainstorming at this point.

I did all my laundry last night, so go me. Now I just gotta fold everything and put it all way, I dumped everything out on my bed before leaving this evening so I have to deal with my clothes before hitting bed in the morning.

Almost positive that I’m going to stick with staying up in the mornings, waking up early just doesn’t work for me. When I wake up early I get ready to fast and then I stand around looking at my house because I don’t want to get my work clothes dirty before leaving. Literally stood in my kitchen this evening just staring at the wall for like 10 minutes before leaving for work. In hindsight I could have obviously done something with my time…like clean off my stove or start on the mountain of clean clothes I’d dumped on my bed, but I guess I have this thing about getting too active before I get to work. Weird.

To help tackle the goal of getting my house back in order and keeping it that way I made myself a promise that I would no longer hit the hay if there were dirty dishes in my kitchen. Of course that meant I had to stay up a little longer than originally planned so that I could start a new load of dishes, but hey the sink was empty and it made the kitchen look cleaner when I left this afternoon. So, I guess that’s a win.

In the morning I plan on taking a walk around my crap neighborhood before bed. I’ll have to wait for the sun to come up, which happens around 6:30 am or so because I am not walking around in the ghetto in the freaking dark. I may take Watson with me, though I’m not sure he’ll be up for an hour long walk, but he might be excited to get out of the house and his yard for a bit.

I think that’s just about everything…I’m back at work tonight, so I’m allowing myself to read 2 books and then I’m putting the tablet down to do something semi-productive with my time. Though I’m not sure painting my nails counts…eh, we’ll just count it this one time.  Night!

Until tomorrow, stay wonderfully wild!

Day 333: Kindle Injury

Hello wild ones! I got all my laundry done! I also got my room cleaned! But the rest of the house is still in desperate need of a good scrubbing. Looks like I’ve got a long night of cleaning ahead.

My thumb hurts…it almost feels like I jammed the darn thing, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how I could have possibly done that. I’m starting to think it’s a sprain from holding my dang tablet for so long while I read…it would be my luck that my hobby, a hobby that by all all counts should be considered very safe, should cause me pain. Such is my life.

We’ve only got 4 more days until Vegas!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH! I’m freaking out over here!

Alright, well I should probably get to folding the mountain of clean laundry currently piled on my bed and start thinking about what I’m going to pack. Night kids!

Until tomorrow, stay wonderfully wild!

Day 295: Hey!!!

Hello wild ones! The weekend is just on the horizon and I for one am glad this work week is over. Don’t know why exactly, but I’m in the mood to clean my house, like deep clean that bitch. Hopefully, this mood carries over into tomorrow night…if not well then I guess I’ll just have to force myself to get the place clean.

I’m also in the mood to do a little writing, so while I had to take a break to get this post written, I have actually been working on my own novel for the better part of the last 2 hours. GO ME!

So, while the creative juices are still flowing I am going to get back to it. I will see you tomorrow! NIGHT!

Until tomorrow, stay wonderfully wild!

Day 283: Drowsy

Hello wild ones! It’s a sleepy Sunday in my house. I don’t know of my body just needs to catch up on sleep or I’m just being lazy, but I could totally go for a nap right about now.

Currently I’m slouched in my favorite chair. Just returned from grocery shopping and unpacking the bags has taken all the energy I’ve got. I managed to get my kitchen clean, I even swept and mopped which I swear I haven’t done in what feels like months. Still have the rest of the house to clean, but once again my energy level is teetering on red.

Honestly I’m contemplating a nap, but I’m afraid if I go lay down I won’t wake up until morning and then my sleep schedule will get all messed up. Bleh.

Maybe after I tear into the Twix that’s on my lap I’ll have a burst of sugar fueled energy that will get me through a few more hours of house work…then again maybe not. We shall see.

Well, that’s it from sleepy town. Go to bed, let me sleep vicariously through you! Night.

Until tomorrow, stay wonderfully wild!

Day 255: Nick of Time

Hello wild ones! I’m sorry I didn’t check back in last night, but we didn’t make it home until well after midnight…good thing I posted before we left.

Once again tonight will be short because I was taking my brother’s friend home when I looked at a clock for the first time all night and realized that it was nearly midnight. Goodness Chelsea.

The thing I went to last night sucked, I had more fun on the drive to the party than I did while actually at the party.I ended up bringing my mother home with me because she wasnt feeling well after being at this event all dang day.

We had a very funny chat this morning while waiting in my bed for Bill Miller’s to open for breakfast. I don’t think I’ve laughed with her so hard in a hood long while. She also borrowed a book I was complaining abouthat (I’ll tell you about that tomorrow) and then went home after breakfast so I didn’t have to share my bed.

I’m hoping to be productive tonight. I’ve already done my grocery shopping and cleaned out my fridge, so now I’m planning on getting the kitchen clean, bathing the dogs, and maybe sweeping and moping before cleaning out my car.

Alright, I think we’re sufficiently caught up for now. I hope you had a great weekend aND that your Monday treats you well!!

Until tomorrow, stay wonderfully wild!

Day 249: Hangry

Hello wild ones! My Monday had gone well thus far. I just got back from playing volleyball and I’m sweaty, Sandy AF, and hurting.

I’m also getting a little hungry, I need to forage for leftovers. The rest of my night is going to be spent in my chair and possibly mopping my house. Eh, I also need to shower. Bleh.

Oh, I’m also going to read the book that I found last night, nearly forgot about that. Ugh, I’m gonna go now my friends. I gotta get some food and a shower. Nigh.

Until tomorrow, stay wonderfully wild!

Day 177: Neverending Cycle

Hello wild ones! Welcome to the weekend. Please enjoy your stay.

A short 24 hours ago I posted a promise that I wouldn’t spend my money on foolish crap anymore, I’ve already sort of broken that promise.

It all started innocently enough. I woke up around 1 ish, took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, put some makeup on, and waited for S (I don’t think I’ve mentioned this person by name just yet, but it’s the aforementioned best friend that I had not spoken too in a month or so) to arrive so we could set off to get my tire repaired. Because we were going to be in San Antonio anyway S asked if we could shop around for swimwear, of course I obliged. As soon as we stepped into Target I knew I wasn’t going to leave without looking at the bedding.

After weeding around the clothing for a bit I lead her to the bedding department that haunts my dreams and I took a nose dive from a very steep cliff. So many pretty things. Firstly I found sheets that were soft, light, and adorable, by some stroke of luck they were on sale so those were a quick grab. Of course since I was getting new sheets I had to look for a comforter because the color I had chosen would not match my current quilt. Weaving up and down every aisle we touched every blanket they had to offer, balked over prices, and finally settle with just a cute grey micro queen size blanket that was only $20. From there we headed back to the swimsuits where is spent my time mulling over my choices.

I had picked out mint colored sheets and the Grey blankey, but there had been this really pretty grey and white quilt that I had fallen in love with. It had scalloped trim! Oh it was so cute, but the $60 price tag had S slapping my hands away.

So once again I made her take a turn down bedding avenue and we fought again over the fact that I wanted the pretty quilt and she very smartly pointed out that I could not afford it at this time. I settle for a bright pink quilt and then had to change my sheet color because I felt the mint with the pink was just a little too much color for me.

I did shoot this one picture while waiting for her to try on a two piece that she wasn’t sure about. So I walked out of Target with a new set of sheets and a matching quilt. Now, I immediately started having buyers remorse and had to keep reminding myself that the sheets I currently have I’ve been using for over 5 years now and that it was time to get some new ones so I at least had another set. I wanted to get the same sheets, but they’re way out of my price range at this time, perhaps that will be my Christmas present to myself. So I spent less than $100 and got the items I needed.

Wish I could say my little spree ended there.  Months back I mentioned that Target had some really cute pillow cases with writing on them and that I wanted to create my own, well since I was getting new bedding anyway I decided I should grab some white pillow cases and try my hand at recreating them. Of course I was not going to pay $20 for plain pillowcases at Target, so we went across the street to Ross, which we should not have done.

Another $80 down the tube on 2 sets of white pillow cases, a pair of cat flats that were too cute to pass up, 3 new pairs of yoga pants (in my defense they were only $11 each), and a really cute flamingo print for my bedroom. It could have been worse. I found yellow plates, luckily S was there to once again to help me see that I didn’t need them. Also, they only had the full size plates in yellow, no bowls or matching salad plates.

After shopping we had an early dinner that we both regretted. The two of us make questionable decisions about food and movies when we’re together. We decided on Buffalo Wild Wings and as soon as our friend pickles came out we remembered why we hadn’t been there in so long. We don’t really like it all that much. Kept us from over eating though, so there’s that I guess.

We made one more stop before coming home, Walmart to grab fabric paint, which totally could have waited because I don’t even have a plan of attack yet for the pillowcases. She went home and then I made my grocery list.

So last night I got all of my errands done, if I wanted I could stay in my house for the next 3 days. I won’t, but just knowing I could makes me happy. I even started deep cleaning my kitchen! Tonight I’ll finish the kitchen and move on the living room and then finish up my room.

It’s really freaking sad that I’ve lived here for almost a full year and still have not out anything on my walls of my room. I am going to remedy that. As soon as I’m done with the kitchen and living room I’m going to rearrange my room and make it look like I actually live here. For now though I’m going to make my bed and then crawl into it with the dogs and sleep.

Wow, please ignore the mess that is my dresser…

Stay tuned for all the cleaning adventures and to find out if we are taking a river trip on Sunday!

Until tomorrow, stay wonderfully wild!
